To all to whom it may concern, be it Known that I Andrew Miller of Greenup County, State of         Kentucky, for divers good causes and considerations, me thereunto moving, as also in further          consideration of One dollar, to me in hand paid, have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free, and by these presents, do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manu- mit, and set free, my Negro woman, Milly, being of the age of Forty five years, and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance, also her son Armsted, my Negro man, aged Twenty seven years, five feet, six inches high, with a small scar in the front of his forehead, also, the following named children of said Milly, being four girls and one boy, Viz Mildred, a Negro girl, aged about Thirteen years, also Catherine, a Negro girl, aged Eight years, also Silva aged Four years, and a Negro girl, Harriet, aged one year, and Johnson a Negro boy aged Six years. The said Milly, Armsted, Mildred, Catherine, Silva, Johnson and Harriet to be henceforth free, manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude, or service to me my heirs, executors or administrators forever, In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 1, day of April, 1840.
